Author Tod Faller Named Finalist in National Book Competition

TERRA ALTA - Culloden resident Tod Faller was honored today when USABookNews.com, the premiere online magazine and review website for mainstream and independent publishing houses, announced the winners and finalists of THE NATIONAL "BEST BOOKS in AMERICA" AWARD. Mr. Faller is already a sought after national presenter on Relationship Building with schools and schools systems across the country.

Jeff Keen, President and CEO of USABookNews.com, said this year's contest yielded an unprecedented number of entries, which were then narrowed down to over 500 winners and finalists in various category. The category for this award was for the Best "Self-Help" Book in America.

"I'm LISTENING!" is Tod Faller's final book in his nationally popular, four book, "The Teacher Down the Hall" Seminar Series. Each book, as each seminar in the series, is written to be another step in the process of helping preteens and teens...their parents, families, classmates, teachers, coworkers and employers... to understand and accept their Intrapersonal confusion and their Interpersonal Conflicts.

As to the purpose behind the book, Mr. Faller offered this: "Highly Effective Communication will never be measured by how much you say, only in how well you listen. If every one is speaking, and nobody is listening, there will be no Unity...in you Community. My objective," he said, "was to write a guidebook that would be easy to understand and apply. My hope was to promote understanding of our human behaviors through the understanding of our human Needs. The intent was to provide practical strategies that could be easily mastered and utiilized to build positive and sustained relationships. Only though understanding, can there be acceptance; only in being willing to listen to others, will there be Unity."
